Hi, I'm John Jantsch, the founder of Duct Tape Marketing.
We love working with small business owners of all kinds - in fact you could say it's our passion.
But . . . learning to do so forced us to take a long hard look at how to provide marketing services in an entirely new way.
That search for an innovation led to the creation of the Duct Tape Marketing System and in trying to solve the frustration of serving small business we tapped into the greatest frustration that every small business feels - buying marketing services as a small business is terribly frustrating and getting worse every day. I mean, that's not why you got into business.
So yes, we turned marketing into a system that starts, first and foremost, with a solid strategy and revolutionized the world of small business marketing. (kinda by accident)
Today, our organization works exclusively with small business owners to help them grow their businesses and trains marketing consultants and coaches who also install the Duct Tape Marketing System, significantly impacting our mission and passion to create $10 Billion dollars in new small business revenue.
This mission and passion allows us to work from a shared set of values and put those values into every engagement.
- Ask Questions – Help people find their truth, don’t give it to them.
- Communicate Early – Don’t ghost anyone. Tell people where you are, how you feel, what’s next, what’s up, what’s amazing, how they are doing.
- Be Kind – Before you judge – stop and ask – can I know what’s true? Lean towards kindness is every situation. Show you care in your work and your words.
- Learn Why – Don’t accept anything as it is. Figure it out, be curious, dig deeper.
- Work on You – You are so much now, but just imagine if you grew every aspect of your life – your work, your family, your mental and physical health.

John Jantsch is a marketing consultant, speaker and best selling author of Duct Tape Marketing, Duct Tape Selling, The Commitment Engine The Referral Engine, and SEO for Growth. He is the creator of the Duct Tape Marketing System and Duct Tape Marketing Consulting Network that trains and licenses small business marketing consultants around the world.
Sara Nay, Chief Operating Officer
Sara Nay is the COO at Duct Tape Marketing. She oversees day-to-day operations to support the growth of Duct Tape Marketing and the Duct Tape Marketing Consultant Network.
She focuses on strategic planning, goal setting and directing the operations of the company in support of its goals.

Trisha started out working with businesses to get them legally set up, after ten years she decided to change directions and help business owners not just become legal but to achieve their dreams. 10+ years of experience combined with being extremely organized, task-oriented, transparent communication and always up for the adventure of learning something new has lead to the success of many clients.
Kacia Hughett, Account Manager
With a bachelors and masters in business administration and years of marketing and website agency experience, Kacia helps the Duct Tape Marketing team implement marketing strategies for their clients. From social media management to website updates, and from email automation to infographics and more, her willingness to learn, adherence to detail, and get-it-done attitude helps take businesses to the next level.
Lisa Blank, Account Manager
Lisa is a seasoned marketer, with experience managing robust campaigns for small and large businesses – including many internationally known household brands. She has held multiple marketing positions where she has been instrumental in closing new business, as well as being a vital contributor to branding and strategy initiatives. She enjoys working in account management at Duct Tape Marketing and bringing her clients' brands to life.
Merrill Robinson, Account Manager
Merrill is a digital and content marketing strategist with eclectic marketing management experience that has allowed her to be extra creative in her work. She has a passion for assisting her clients in growing their companies, creating strong relationships with her colleagues, and keeping up with the latest marketing trends. After getting her bachelors degree in marketing, Kyndall jumped headfirst into the marketing world by working at a fast-paced start-up where she's had her hands in almost every facet of marketing. A few years later, she decided it was time to take her freelance side hustle, full-time. She supports Duct Tape Marketing with many of the marketing initiatives and activities.
Rachelle Wise, Designer / Developer
With a bachelor’s in graphic design and a penchant for learning new things, Rachelle evolved into a web developer with a passion for WordPress as a CMS. She enjoys bringing insights from her design and marketing experience into her development work, and truly enjoys opportunities to use analytics data and user testing to drive design and content.
Brad Burk, Marketing & Growth Consultant
Brad is a small business marketing and growth consultant. With over a decade of entrepreneurship experience in multiple industries, he brings his broad range of expertise to the Duct Tape Marketing team. Most weeks he can be found designing and updating websites, helping build courses and funnels, implementing new tools and more!

Shawna Salinger is a digital and content marketer with experience working both client-side and with boutique to full-service agencies. She started her career working for multinational corporations and has since begun using her tactical and data-driven marketing approach to help elevate smaller brands. She assists Duct Tape Marketing in managing their owned media and developing marketing initiatives.

Michelle Mangen is the brains behind our effortless, balanced books. She’s worked in bookkeeping since 1995, and started taking on her own clients in 2008 when she realized she could build systems way more efficiently than most people.
