You should have a contact manager database to help you in this process but you can also do it with a sheet of paper and gut feeling….
Get in the habit of going through your database, say on a Friday afternoon, and making a handful of calls for no other reason than to check in and see how folks are doing. This is not a sales call, although you will be surprised how many people will tell you, “I’ve been meaning to call you.”
These little check ups are how you stay connected. Any time business seems to slow down a bit this is one of the fastest ways to jump start it.
