Andrew Mann

I’m Andy, founder of Studio Brio. I’ve spent twenty years running my own marketing and photography practice, and I’ve been consulting on content strategy since 2019. Studio Brio is where that work lives now.
I work on one problem. Professional schools produce hundreds of stories a year, and almost none of them are built for the donor relationships that close seven-figure gifts. Most advancement teams build content inside-out — the institution decides what to say, marketing produces it, and the right donors are supposed to notice. The schools having million-dollar conversations build outside-in. They start with their top twenty relationships and build backwards.
I brought that system into Virginia Tech’s veterinary college and ran it at scale. Story output went from 36 a year to 150, mapped to donor interests and coordinated with gift officers, while annual philanthropic support grew from $6M to $21M.
Not because we made more content but because we made the right content, for the right people, at the right time.
Now I build the same system for medical, business, law, and nursing schools. I diagnose the gap, build the system, train the team, and hand it over.
