"Earned Media" is my favorite kind
I visited with PR wiz Paul Hartunian yesterday and it reminded me that
media exposure or PR is not free media, it is earned. Nothing’s free, but
few things give you the low cost, high payoff return like PR.
Paul has a great system that teaches anyone how to generate local or
national media attention…if you follow a system
Some quick bites…
Look for stories in how you do things that are different
Don’t go for one shot deals – there is always a story in a story
Press releases should never be more than one page (ever) – Think of
your press release as an ad for an interview
Press releases should contain: Killer headline, strong lead paragraph,
quoatable quote, credentials, and lots of contact info.
So go out there and earn your PR.
