Bo Burlingham on Little Giants

By John Jantsch

My guest on this week’s Duct Tape Marketing podcast show is Bo Burlingham, Inc magazine Editor-at-Large and author of Small Giants – Companies that choose to be great instead of big.

We spend a great deal time talking about the common characteristics he discovered when researching small companies that consistently ranked very high in terms of both customer and employee satisfaction. A particularly interesting thread is that he felt each of these companies were somehow positively impacted by the communities where they were founded – and perhaps would not be the company it was without this community place.

Bo is a gracious storyteller and has created an inspirational work for all the small business owners who want to do what they love without the preasure to be the next big IPO. Of course, what you also find in his book is that a lot of small giants grow relatively large doing what they love.
